3 EASY HALLOWEEN COSTUMES

As I grow older, the thought of spending $50+ on a Halloween costume is baffling to me. In the past few years, I have decided to get a little more creative and look into my closet for ways to utilize clothing items that I already own. The other option is to also buy clothing pieces that are cheaper and can be reused for the future other than Halloween.

Today, I will be showing you three simple clothing items that I received from Rosegal, which total around $60. That means, you get three costumes for the price of one at retail. If you do the math, that’s basically $20 for a costume, which I think is a pretty good deal if you ask me!

  1. Bride: This is as easy as it gets! Buy a white dress and wam bam, you are a bride! If you want to go the extra mile, feel free to get a veil to complete your look, but your girl is pretty lazy, so I decided to just wear the dress as is and call it a day. If anybody asks me, I’ll tell them I’m a bride. If you also want to get a little more creative, feel free to be a dead bride or scary bride and do your makeup accordingly. As mentioned earlier, I like to go simple so I wanted to wear this dress alone. I also think it’s gorgeous and I can see myself wearing this for another event in the future!

  2. Sailor: This item was advertised as a tshirt even though its length resembles more of a tshirt dress. I decided to wear shorts underneath, but feel free to wear navy pants if you feel more comfortable. Again, you can accessorize this with a sailor hat to complete the look, but I think the color and front tie are noticeable sailor characteristics. I wore knee high white socks and some flats, but you can also wear heels if you’re feeling a little riskier.

  3. Dorothy: I mean how adorable is this dress? I saw it online and thought it would be a great way to mirror Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. Her distinctive look is this blue plaid dress, red shoes and pigtail braids. All I did was put a white top underneath, which I’m sure most of you already own and some red pumps.

As you can see, it is really easy to shop around for some clothing items where you can mix and match to create your own costume. You can also challenge yourself and look at your closet and see what you can come up with. I love Rosegal because their items are affordable and I was able to experiment with different items I found online to create these three looks. Which one is your favorite and what are you going to be for Halloween?
