Today, I was invited by Behrman Communications to Everpro’s product event, which showcased the brand’s temporary root concealers. The products included Back 2 Blonde and Gray Away, which came in two different formulas, Root Touch Up Magnetic Powder and Gray Away Temporary Root Concealer.
Based on first impression, I thought the event was decorated beautifully as everything went along with the pink and yellow color scheme, which also matched the product’s packaging. It was an intimate venue and the sessions were held at the hour so I had a one on one with the staff at Everpro. They explained the products and even demonstrated all three products on hair wigs. I loved the interactive aspect of the event because it’s one thing to read or hear about what a product can do and it’s another to see it first hand.
I personally don’t dye my hair regularly or get touch ups. I currently have balayage highlights, but they were done midway on my hair and not towards my root, so I do not necessarily see myself needing this product at the moment. However, I do plan on going lighter for the summer and I can see how this product can come in handy. I know a few coworkers who get their roots touched up every month or so and this product would save them tons of money and prolong the process of going to the hair salon.
Below is a quick summary of the three different products:
- Back 2 Blonde: The name is pretty self- explanatory, but it’s a temporary root concealer that comes in a spray bottle, specifically for blonde hair that gives instant fix for dark roots. This also comes in 9 shades of blonde.
- Gray Away (root touch up magnetic powder): This is a portable root concealer that comes in powder form that is easy to take on the go and comes in three shades. This product will give a more precise application since it’s powder form so you have more control of the coverage than a spray on bottle.
- Gray Away (temporary root concealer): This is the same as Back 2 Blonde, except it’s targeted for gray coverage, which is available in three shades.
All of the products are easy to remove as they come off with a quick shampoo wash. They retail for $9.99- $12.99 and can be found in your local drugstore like Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, walmart, ulta and online grayaway.com. Overall, I think this is great for those who constantly go to the hair salons for root touch up. I also love the fact that these products are easy to use, inexpensive and very convenient. I did go home with a goodie bag of the products and I definitely plan on trying them when I get my hair lightened this summer.
