As much as I love traveling outside of the country, I also enjoy staycations in NYC because it’s a great way to have a new experience as a local. I was given the opportunity to stay at The Williamsburg Hotel located on 96 Wythe Avenue and it was a great getaway from Manhattan even though I only stayed for one night. I have been to The Williamsburg Hotel before for events and fell in love with the decor and interior. I had pretty high expectations going in and I must say that I wasn’t disappointed at all!
My room was luxurious and chic and I had a great view of the city from the balcony. It wasn’t as large as I expected, but I didn’t mind because I was spending the night alone and the chic touches including the blue marble showers, cute and stylish robes and modern amenities made my stay comfortable. What won me over was definitely my brunch because as you all know, I’m a huge foodie! I used to see bloggers on Instagram having breakfast in bed with robes on and living the life and I though to myself, this is my chance to do the same! So I called The Harvey, which is the hotel’s restaurant and ordered the following items to my room:
- Avocado Toast: hemp seeds, fresh chilies, soft herbs + poached egg
- Williamsburg Breakfast: egg whites scrambled, roasted tomatoes, market greens, fried potatoes, whole wheat toast + smashed avocado + smoked salmon
- Side of mixed berries w/ basil & honey
- Almond Milk Latte
- Orange Juice
- Jasmine Tea
For full disclosure, I did not eat all this food myself! My photographer and I shared everything after taking photos because of course we had to photograph this beautiful spread. I was extremely hungry so the food was everything I could ask for. The service was also amazing because I called in advanced to get it delivered at a specific time and they were right at the door as requested. I also made some swaps to the ingredients, which wasn’t an issue for the kitchen at all.
I think we all judge a hotel by the comfort of the beds and I woke up feeling extremely well rested so I can attest that the bed is as comfortable as mine at home, and if not even slightly better. It was refreshing to wake up to the sun because the windows are large and I love natural sunlight. Aside from the room itself, the hotel is a beautiful place to hang out. The hotel bar is absolutely gorgeous and I knew I had to snap some photos just so you guys can see how lovely the space is. There was also a piano and the spiraling stairs which made for great props and backdrop for photos!
There is also a cute outside space where you can eat and enjoy the sun. I am wearing an off the shoulder top from Zaful and striped pants from Lulus. This outfit is extremely comfortable and actually paired well with the background of the Williamsburg Hotel. I felt like the hotel was decorated with everybody in mind because you can find a specific corner or area to relax. Coming from a content creator’s experience and perspective, there are also many opportunities to get creative with photos. As many of you guys know, I love playing with color blocking so I was happy with how my outfit blended perfectly with the colors of this cute patio and lounge area of the hotel.
Overall, I highly recommend visiting this hotel if you ever find yourself in Williamsburg and definitely recommend staying here whether you are a tourist or local. It was a great mini getaway from the city and that one night stay allowed me to reconnect with myself and also made me see the city from a different perspective. Have you guys ever done a staycation in your city? What are your thoughts about it? I would love to hear about your experiences!

I always stay in hotels on Manhattan and maybe it’s finally time for me to broaden my views a bit, I mean, The Williamsburg Hotel seeems amazing and I love the decor, the views, not to mention the amazing food! You’re not the only foodie around so I bet I’d actually eat all of that and not share it with my photographer at all, haha. 🙂 Thanks for the tip!

I actually think you would love The Williamsburg Hotel! It has a very cool vibe and definitely can see you taking photos there!
I’ve never staycationed before nor do I plan to where I live (hotels are just terrible and overpriced) but the hotel you stayed in looks amazing! I love all those little touches of blue and yellow and the food they served you looks super tasty. Hope you had a great time.

It was a great stay! I don’t often do staycations either but I think it’s a good experience to getaway without actually having to board a plane or leave your city.
That’s cool. I like your blog. Go to my blog http://alamodenatine.blogspot.com
