I think everybody can agree that one of the best things about autumn is the changing color of leaves. It is absolutely beautiful to see hints of red, orange and purple. When I think of autumn, I immediately envision a park or trail with bright colored leaves and a nice breeze of wind. It’s also very similar to the changes in fashion trends and outfits. Most people tend to go for a darker look, whether that’s reflected in their make up or their wardrobe. I personally love the color midnight green and blue, which can be seen in the H&M blouse below. It’s bright, but not bright in summer colors like orange or red. It’s more of a bright dark color, as contradictory as that sounds.
I also like the pairing of a long sleeve top and shorts. You can’t really get away with that in the hot summer days, but it’s definitely acceptable in the autumn months. Booties are also my favorite go to shoes for this weather. These are a bit high and I wouldn’t recommend wearing them on a daily basis, but you can definitely swap them out for a thicker, shorter heel. My taupe shorts are from American Apparel and my booties are from Guess. I think this look is very autumn appropriate and can also be layered with a leather jacket.
