The fact that we have two more months of 2019 is beyond shocking to me! I never could fully grasp how quickly time flies but I am happy that I am aware of where we’re at in the year every time I write my monthly goals. November is going to be another hectic month for me and I am ready to embrace it since this year is coming close to an end. Oddly enough, I am looking forward to this month because this is when I start to enjoy the holidays since we welcome Thanksgiving at the end of this month!
Looking back at my October goals, I am happy that I was able to achieve all of them since I made sure I would set realistic goals that were attainable and measurable. I wanted to enjoy my travel trips and I definitely did that! For those who aren’t caught up, I recently embarked on a week cruise with Hapag-Lloyd which you can read about here. I also traveled with Norwegian Air and explored Rotterdam and you can read about it in my next blog post. I am getting better at balancing work and play and being present in the moment.

In terms of personal goals, I wanted to host a game night at my apartment and I had such a great time being a host! Although game night didn’t really involve games, I still enjoyed my time with my friends. In celebration of October, I also went apple picking and pumpkin picking with my roommate. We traveled out of the city and made a trip out of it and we also brought back some local honey and jam, which I am loving right now!
For the month of November, I have come up with the following three goals:
- Get Tan from Aruba: It shouldn’t be a surprise that I have another trip lined up for this month. I will be leaving to Aruba the first weekend of November and I really want to come back with a tan! I know this might seem like a silly goal but I want to soak in as much sun as possible because I know I will start to feel the cold weather once I return. I of course also want to enjoy Aruba since I’ve never been there!
- Have Friendsgiving at my place: Since I moved to my new apartment in July, I have been wanting to do more hosting at my place since I enjoy getting people together. I never did Friendsgiving nor attended Friendsgiving so this is going to be an exciting first for me! I think it’s a beautiful time to be with the people you love and also celebrate life, food and each other’s company.
- Catch up with friends and family: Knowing that Thanksgiving is at the end of the month, I have been thinking more about gratitude. I have been traveling tons these past two months and I still have more ahead. With that being said, I have been feeling a little distant with my friends and family and I want to make an effort to catch up with them. This is a simple goal but it’s important for me to always check in with the people I love and make sure that they are doing well!
I am ready for November because I have a feeling it’s going to be a a great month. I hope you guys are just as excited for it as well. Definitely do jot down some of your personal goals because it’s great when you can take a step back and assess what you want to achieve in the next 30 days!

Glad you love them!
First off, your outfit with the orange sweater is so cute! My goal for November is to stay on top of my grad school work so I don’t cause any extra stress leading up to the holidays!

Love the printed jacket with the grey dress, such a cute autumn outfit! I’m glad you had such a good October, hope you achieve all your goals in November too! 🙂
Hope that you had a great weekend! We had our annual family photo with Santa for our Christmas cards on Saturday and then a playdate in the park on Sunday 🙂
Oh that sounds wonderful! I’ve never done a family Christmas card but that sounds cute 🙂
I think a lot of people set themselves really high goals that are unattainable, making them feel bad when they don’t achieve them. So I love that you set realistic goals. I’m hoping to spend more time with friends and family this month as well. Your orange jumper goes so nice with your black skirt 🙂
