I started my wellness journey about two years ago and I have been loving the process and progress. I have always made it a priority to take care of my body physically, but it was only when I started to take care of myself spiritually, emotionally and mentally, is when I saw a shift in my overall presence, being and state of mind. I am a huge advocate for journaling and meditating and my friends know that I’m a pretty spiritual person, so it’s only a matter of time that I became interested in crystals.
There are a number of different types of crystals, each filled with their own healing abilities for the mind, body, and soul. I am still personally educating myself on the different usages but all of the ones that I have collected aid in the flow of good energy and rid the body and mind of negative energy. Anxiety is something I’ve always struggled with and given what’s happening in the world, it’s definitely been heightened. My journey with journaling, meditation and crystals have helped immensely and I wanted to shed light on my favorite crystals that are great to relieve stress and anxiety and their healing properties:
↠ Amethyst: This purple stone is known to have great cleansing and healing prosperities. It’s great for rebalancing, protection and alleviating anxiety, fatigue and stress. It can also be used to improve your spirituality, peace and contentment. I always recommend this as an introductory crystal for beginners because amethyst as a whole can be used for any purpose
↠Rose quartz: As the name suggests, rose quartz is great for self- love, care, calmness, emotional healing and harmony. It also encourages love, respect, trust, and worth within one’s self and in relationships with others. I tend to use rose quartz when I’m feeling like my self esteem needs a boost or I feel like the world can use a little more love.
↠ Citrine: Citrine is a great crystal if you find your light dimming. Citrine promotes cheerfulness and strengthens self belief, encourages optimism, and enhance mindful qualities, like creativity and concentration. Whenever I feel a bit unmotivated or off track, I go to citrine as it brings joy and enthusiasm back to your life.
↠ Obsidian: Obsidian is an intensely protective stone, which is known to be a shield against physical and emotional negativity. If you are in the slumps or feeling a lot of toxicity and negativity, then trust obsidian to do its magic.
↠ Hematite: Like obsidian, hematite is another protective stone and is great to carry to help you stay grounded in difficult situations. I like to carry this with me especially when I’m traveling.
↠ Clear quartz: As the name suggests, clear quartz is all about clarity. If you are in a difficult situation and can’t seem to make some decisions, then this is the crystal for you. It’s also great for manifesting intentions, so if you’re starting a new project or have a new idea, then clear quartz can help make that happen.
↠ Jade: Jade is my go to stone for good fortune, good luck and good health. If you are welcoming a new age or going through a transition or phase in your life, this is great to introduce a new chapter in your life.
↠ Scolecite: One of the high vibration crystals that aids in communication, facilitates deep inner peace and spiritual transformation. I recently discovered this crystal so I feel like it’s a more experienced crystal for those that want to take their spiritual journey to a new level.
↠ Selenite: Selenite is crystallized form of Gypsum, which is used for good luck and protection. It also helps relieve anxiety and tension in the body, while opening up the mind and making the user more alert.
The way I select my crystal is usually based on how I’m feeling, what I’m looking for and sometimes which ever one I’m most drawn to on that specific day. I use crystals during meditations and carry them in my bag or even when I’m traveling. Sage and palo santo are also staples in my spiritual journey as both of them have amazing cleansing and healing prosperities. I love collecting crystals, expanding my knowledge on their properties and also using them as decor pieces throughout my apartment!

I’m so glad that this was helpful 🙂
I would really like to get into crystals, and I may start with what you recommended – the amethyst. I think I would find Rose Quartz one of the most useful as I have trouble expressing emotions (one of the only downside to my Capricorn self, haha ;D).

I have never tried healing crystals before! They’ve always looked really interesting to me though. Sage smells wonderful! I hope they are helping you with your anxiety during this stressful time <3

I keep selenite all over the house (it’s beautiful, so it’s easy to sneak into decor!) because of its cleansing properties! Great post, babe!
