The best perk of being a blogger is being connected and exposed to different brands, especially clothing since I focus primarily on fashion and lifestyle. I think there are wonderful companies that deserve more attention such as SiiZU, an eco-friendly, affordable womenswear brand in New York. When they reached out to me, I knew I wanted to collaborate because their clothing are minimal and simple, which matches my style, but what intrigued me the most was their fabrics.
I am wearing their Zip Up Pink Dress which is made from 100% Tencel fabrics, which are imported from Japan. The material feels extremely soft and I love high quality clothing. To give you guys some background, Tencel is is a material made from wood pulp through a “closed loop process.” The end results involves no waste, so Tencel is an ideal material because not only is it eco-friendly, but it is also breathable, moisture absorbing, and has cooling qualities.
It is obvious that there’s a difference between this Tencel fabric of this dress and of other dresses that I own. I definitely prefer the quality and material of SiiZU because I love the way the dress feels on my body. I also adore the style and overlook look of this dress because it’s very simple and versatile. I think this dress is beautiful for the summer and I would’ve totally styled it with some white tennis shoes and kept it as plain as that. But since I received this item during this time of year, I wanted to make it fall appropriate by throwing a leather jacket on top so I can add a little edginess to my look. I also wanted to keep it causal and cool with my black booties. I also paired up this look with stack bracelets from The Shine Project.
I look forward to playing with this dress because it is totally possible to wear another shirt underneath it to give it a more layered feel. If you are interested in getting to know more about SiiZU and their wonderful fabrics, feel free to visit their site here.
