APRIL 2021 GOALS

We have successfully completed the first quarter of 2021 and it has been an eventful first three months to say the least. I went into March with a positive mindset and overall, I had a productive month. Now that spring is here, I am looking forward to the warmer months and the longer days. We have been experienced lovely weather in NYC the last few weeks of March and that in itself has put me in a positive mood.

As I look back at my March goals, I can tell that I was very enthusiastic and motivated to hit the ground running. I had several opportunities come my way that I did not expect and all I can do is be grateful because the universe has shown me time and time again that it has my back. My first goal was to host my weekly rooms on Clubhouse and I definitely took that goal to the extreme. I found myself burning out and overextending myself but towards the end of the month, I was able to prioritize my mental health and set some boundaries.

My second goal was to edit my manuscript and I submitted my second round of revisions to my editor so I’m excited to see the changes. I still am in awe at the fact that I will be releasing a book by the end of the year, but I can’t wait to share it with you all! I also was in the planning stages of my Turks and Caicos trip and it did go through and I wrote about my experience in my latest post. And last but not least, my fourth goal was to add services to my blog and I didn’t get around to doing that. I realized it’s not one of my priorities right now as I have other things that are taking precedent. It goes to show that it’s great to have goals but know that it’s also normal and natural for them to change as the weeks progress.

APRIL GOALS
  1. Finalize book cover: As I mentioned previously, there are a lot of moving parts when it comes to publishing my book. I currently am in the second round of revisions with my editor and while that is being edited, I am working on my cover. I have narrowed my designs to one and all I have to do is add finishing touches and will be on my way to signing off on it!
  2. Do more Instagram Lives: I have been meaning to do more Instagram Lives and I started to do it at the end of March. Like Clubhouse, I want to be more consistent and do a minimum of one Live a week. I have some ideas for series and have started two so far which are on dating & relationships and personal development.
  3. Start Tik Tok: I haven’t jumped on the Tik Tok Train, but I think it’s time for me to explore that platform. I know exactly what topic/ niche I want to focus on but I need to just pull the trigger and go for it. My main goal for April is to launch my Tik Tok and start prerecording and batching my content.
  4. Finish reading Obama’s A Promised Land: I received Obama’s A Promised Land for my birthday and I still haven’t finished it. I’ve been taking my sweet time and it has now been over two months. My plan is to complete it by the end of April and I need to remind myself that even if I only read a few pages a day, I will still be making progress. I will prioritize this as a task to do before I go to sleep.

Like March, I am entering April with a positive mindset. I am at a great place because I have chosen to surround myself with abundance and people that are supportive. Let me know what’s one goal you want to achieve this month!
