BACK TO BASICS

I adore basic pieces that give off a very simple but chic look. I aimed for an all black outfit for a casual day to start of this week. This light knit turtle neck is one of my favorite new pieces from Necessary Boutique. It’s super soft and I love the fit of the sweater because it’s not too tight and not too loose. I feel absolutely comfortable and the lightness allows me to layer with other pieces like I did with the grey cardigan.

These washed out dark grey jeans are from H&M and they’re my go to jeans for a laid back look. I thought they went perfectly with these cut out flat boots. I felt very confident from head to toe in this dark ensemble. I also thought a hint of lipstick would really give this outfit a little color and spark that was missing. I wore this look for work, but this is also appropriate for a late night dinner or a trip to the movies.
