BEST TRANSITIONAL PIECES FOR FALL

Fall is my favorite month so I’m not mad at all that September is approaching! I am all about layering and that sweater life so I’m actually very excited to transition into chillier weather. Some people might find it hard to style outfits during this time because there’s usually a different wardrobe specifically for the hot summer days and the cold winter weather. However, I actually think it’s a fun period to experiment with what you have in your wardrobe and still get wear out of your summer clothing for at least another month.

I did some online inspirational searches and have curated five items that I think make the perfect transitional pieces for the fall weather. *Disable adblock to view my picks below

  1. Jumpsuits: Jumpsuits are amazing for the fall because your legs are covered since they’re pants. You can still get away with wearing these because it’s warm enough to wear this one piece and still be comfortable. I love wearing jumpsuits because they’re easy to throw on and they honestly are appropriate for all types of events.
  2. Ruffled Skirts: There’s something stylish and sexy about ruffled skirts and I absolutely love it! If you are a skirt lover, you’ll be glad to know that this is a great piece to wear for the fall. You can layer this with a nice sweater and some boots and you are good to go! If it does get a little chillier, you can always wear some tights underneath for some warmth.
  3. Denim Jackets: Denim jackets are my favorite type of transitional piece for the fall because they’re light enough to wear, so you’re not sweating. You can choose a plain one, or one with embroidery since that’s been a current trend. I also like oversized denim jackets to give a more causal and relaxed look. If denim jackets, aren’t your thing, then go for a bomber instead.
  4. Long Dresses: I am sure most of you own at least one long/ maxi dress in your closet and this is a great piece that also works for the fall. Because it’s long, you can go for the comfy look by layering it with a cardigan, jacket or sweater. I love this type of look especially if you want to look chic yet comfortable at the same time.
  5. Faux Leather Skirt: Similar to ruffled skirts, I love a good pair of faux leather skirt because it just screams badass to me. When I want to go for a more confident look or if I’m just feeling myself, I love to pull this type of skirt out and conquer the day. The best part is that you can throw a simple tshirt on top with some boots and you are good to go. I prefer to go with a more simplistic top, but that’s totally up to you! Feel free to dress it up or down because there’s really no wrong way to style a faux leather skirt.

What are your favorite transitional pieces for the fall? Let me know as I am currently creating my wishlist for the next month!
