I have been obsessed with beauty and skincare products recently. I’m sure I can’t be the only girl out there who gets excited attending beauty related events. When I received the invite for the Colorescience summer beauty kick off, I was extremely happy because I’ve only heard good things about the brand and it was hosted at The Jimmy. And for those of you who haven’t been, you must! It’s basically the rooftop bar on top of The James hotel, located on 15 Thompson Street and the view is absolutely gorgeous! There’s also a pool so I definitely got into the summer vibe 🙂
I think Colorescience chose the perfect venue to host the event because the space matched their products perfectly. In summary, Colorescience’s philosophy is to create makeup that also protects the skin. There are so many makeup products out there that only does what makeup is intended, which is to cover up. However, Colorescience makes products that contain ingredients such as SPF, antioxidants, peptides, vitamins, all of which support sun protection and has skincare benefits. During the presentation and product demonstration, I was blown away by the science behind the brand. I can tell that the team worked hard to bring the best products with the healthiest ingredients, which is a major reason why I am eager to try the line.
I was gifted the loose mineral sunscreen and the daily UV 30 SPF protection, which are both perfect for travel and the summer. I am leaving to Hong Kong this weekend so these are the perfect essentials to keep my skin protected. I look forward to trying these products out as I have high expectations for them!

I love this post! You are so right, many make up products nowadays are all about covering and not much into protecting. Enjoy Hong Kong and keep posting babe!xx
