Denim shirts were a huge thing a few years back and I still think they’re a staple item in any closet. I personally own two, one that’s over-sized and one that’s more fitting. What I love about denim shirts is the fact that they’re fitted like a button down, but the material makes it more causal and relaxed. It’s also very easy to style with some solid colored denim or if you’re bold, you can wear denim on denim. For the record, I have yet to pull that off, but let’s hope I can sometime this year.
I think when it’s cold outside, I put less effort in styling my outfits. Now don’t get me wrong, I love layering, but I hate the weight of items on top of items. In the summer, it’s so easy because you can wear a dress or any light items and you’re good to go. Today, however, was extremely cold as the temperature was around the 20s, so it was freezing outside. I wore my denim shirt paired with these grey khaki slacks and a black fur vest and black cut out booties. As you can see, the outfit without the vest is fine and it doesn’t look bad with it either. I highly recommend a nice winter vest that you can put on to keep warm, but also take off it gets a little too hot in the office or workplace. Overall, I love mixing simple items like this denim shirt with winter necessities.
