FALL 2016 BEAUTYCON BOX

I received the Fall 2016 Beautycon Box and decided to do a first impression as I was unboxing it. For those who are unaware, Beautycon Box Subscription is a year long subscription that includes 4 boxes of beauty products worth over $100. The price per quarter is $29 (seasonal subscription) or $99 upfront for the annual year. Different talent curate the boxes and this season’s items was picked by MakeupShayla and Angel Merino who are both makeup artists. • DUO – Lash Adhesive – @duoadhesive and Flutter Lashes – iSlay Lashes – @futterlashesinc: I’ve never worn false lashes or had interest in them, so to be honest, I didn’t really care for these. However, since this included both the glue and the false lashes, I feel like if I am bored or want to do something a little more dramatic, I might use them.
• Jouer – Essential Lip Enhancer – @jouercosmetics: I’ve actually received this product from an event before and thought it was pretty decent. It didn’t burn or sting as I know most lip enhancers do and I did feel my lips get a little plumpier. I think I might give this to a friend because I am more into matte lipsticks, rather than lip enhancers.
• Laser Kitten – Sweetheart Lipstick Pin – @laserkitten: I was surprised this pin was included in the box. I know some people use pins to DIY or decorate their clothing, but I’m not one of those people. I actually would’ve prefered another beauty product instead.
• Luxie Beauty – Luxie Large Angled 504 Brush – @luxiebeauty: I was excited to see this product in this season’s box! I love makeup brushes and don’t think you can have too much. I also love the fact that this brush is vegan, cruelty free and 100% paraben free!
• Milani Cosmetics – Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadow – @milanicosmetics: I love Milani Cosmetics! I haven’t tried their eyeshadow but I know a lot of youtubers rave about them. I also really like the color as it is fall appropriate so can’t wait to try this!
• Mystic Tan – Mocha-Kyssed Bronzer Lotion – @mystictan: I don’t fake tan or really like tan products, so I also didn’t have much interest in this product.
• OFRA Cosmetics – Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick – @ofracosmetics: Absolutely love Ofra Cosmetics and loved the color once I swatched it. My favorite liquid lipstick colors are muave pink or nudes, so this is the perfect shade for me!
• Simple® – Cleansing Facial Wipes – @simpleskincare: You can never go wrong with Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes. I love them and use them regularly, so I was happy to receive these in this Fall Box.
• Sugarfina – Sugar Lips® – @sugarfina: I’ve seen Sugarfina all over Instagram so it was pretty exciting to see this in the box. I’m not a huge candy gal but every now and then, I will crave them, so I’d definitely like to keep these in my handbag when I have a sweet tooth.
• Shayla & Angel portrait by @rongrong_devoe_illustration: I love fashion illustrations and thought this was very appropriate to celebrate this month’s curators.

So to be frank, I feel like this season’s box was okay. Nothing spectacular, but it’s always exciting to receive the Beautycon Box in the mail because I never really know what I’m getting until I unbox it.
