FASHION/ BEAUTY NEWS RECAP

I have another roundup of fashion and beauty news for you all! I love to keep updated with the current events and news  surrounding the industries that I’m passionate about. As most of you are also in the fashion and beauty realms, I think it’s important to know what’s going on as it directly and indirectly can affect our work.  Here are the top news that I thought were interesting from this past week:

•  Flesh Cosmetics: This is a new makeup brand sold at Ulta and it has recently caught my eyes due to the packaging and overall brand aesthetic. I love how they have a variety of stick foundation shades because we all need more options when it comes to finding our right color! The packaging of the products are simple and minimal and I love the color they chose. As someone who is constantly on the go, I appreciate the small package because I can carry it with me in my bag and during my travels.  It’s definitely a brand for natural makeup lovers that want something simple and fresh looking especially when it’s hot during the summer. I definitely have my eye on their lipstick and their highlighting balm as well!

  
  
  

• Small Sunglasses: I love this fashion trend because it is so chic and minimalistic in comparison to oversized sunglasses. Even though they are smaller, I feel as though they make just as much as a statement and I have been loving styling smaller cateye glasses. I actually just received a new package with some small sunglasses, so stay tuned for those as I will be rocking them in future shoots.  Let me know what shape sunglasses you prefer and if you like this trend!

  

• FILA Sneakers: I have seen FILA sneakers all over Instagram and I have to say that I am obsessed because if you know me, you know that I am a huge fan of sneakers! I love that they are a play on ‘ugly sneakers’ yet they have become the epitome of cool street style. The chunky style definitely adds some edge to your style and the platform on the shoe is something that live for being a petite blogger myself. I would love to know your thoughts whether these are a yay or nay for you!
  
• Yellow Blush: Although I am not completely won over by this trend, I can’t deny that it has completely taken over the internet. The looks people have done incorporating yellow blush are nothing short of amazing. After Rihanna came out with the iconic highlight, “Trophy Wife,” in her Fenty Beauty line, people have gone crazy over it and taken it a step further by accenting it with yellow blush. I can definitely appreciate how artistic it looks even if I’m not ready to put it on my own face. Have any of you guys been bold enough to try it?
  
• Majorelle: Majorelle has been sold on Revolve for a little while now but I have seen the brand all over my favorite bloggers for a few months now. This made me so curious on how this independent brand rose to fame so quickly. The founder of the brand, Rachel Zeilic, created it by thinking of her dream girl which was a sexy, mysterious jetsetter. The pieces are absolutely stunning and they inspire me to take gorgeous travel photos just by seeing them on other people. What do you guys think of this brand?
