Father’s Day is right around the corner and I always feel like dads are so hard to shop for, don’t you guys agree?? That’s why I rounded up another gift guide for you to help you find the perfect gift to show your dad how much you care and love him! It is a great time to think outside the box for Father’s Day this year and surprise him with something unexpected.
- For the outdoorsy dad: I know a lot of dads out there love to spend time outside and go camping or fishing. A great gift for the active and outdoor dads would be this backpack from Osprey because it can be used in many ways and it’s a great size to fit all essentials. This is perfect for travel as a carry on or a backpack to store any and all survival tools that he may need on a hike outdoors or a business trip. It is also extremely comfortable because he can carry this for long periods of time.
- For the tech-savvy dad: Your tech-loving dad will love having a brand new tablet for Father’s Day. I understand that not every parent prefers a tech-based gift but a tablet is an incredibly versatile gift both for work and leisure. My dad hates learning a new interface but once he got the hang of his iPad, he cannot stop using it to read news and watch his shows. If your dad is tech-savvy, then he’ll appreciate getting him the latest model of the iPad to add to his collection.
- For the professional dad: A sleek, monogrammed leather wallet is the perfect gift for any dad that works in a professional setting. Leather is the perfect fabric for wallets because it stretches to fit more cards and bills and wears well over time. The monogram is the ideal personalized touch that adds a bit more sentiment to the gift. He’ll be able to use this everyday and is both a sentimental and functional gift.
- For the auto-lover dad: If your dad likes to tinker around with cars, he’ll be sure to love this brand new tool kit. This 301 piece kit from Harbor Freight has everything any mechanic could ever need. Your dad will never worry about finding the right size screw or bolt because it is all organized super neatly in this incredibly convenient case. This is the perfect gift for the handy dads in your life that like to work with their hands.
- For the dad that loves to cook: It is no surprise that dads love to show off their skills in front of the grill. This grill set from Cuisinart is sure to bring a smile to his face when you invite all your family and friends over for a barbecue this summer. It has anything he could ever need to grill burgers, steaks, hot dogs and more. I know my dad would love this gift because during the summer he uses any excuse to start the grill and cook outside.
I hope you found this gift guide helpful when you start shopping for gifts this week. Don’t forget enjoy Father’s Day weekend and spend some time with your loved ones! Let me know what you’re getting your dad this year for Father’s Day!

What did you end up getting your dad?
I think it’s really hard to shop gifts for my dad and thankfully we gave up on that tradition years ago. I mean all was fine back in the days when a drawing I made at school was fine, but after becoming an adult I can’t just give him a drawing anymore, so I was relieved when he announced “let’s skip this silly gift giving thing” a long time back. I’d actually want to treat my dad to a nice restaurant or something, just the two of us. 🙂

Aw that sounds really nice! I actually think if you drew him something, that would be meaningful too! Nowadays, I tend to stick with the more sentimental gifts and I think they are more meaningful than the tangible ones!
Nice ideas! 😉
