FEBRUARY 2019 GOALS

Hello February! January was an amazing month for me because it was my birthday month and I just returned from Iceland! I actually didn’t feel like January flew by nor did I feel like it was dragging. In fact, January felt as how January should be. Maybe because it was the first month of 2019 or maybe because I was really in tune with everything that was happening, but nonetheless, I throughly enjoyed it!

Revisiting my January monthly goals, I am happy to add invisible check marks to each one because I have successfully completed all of them. It’s honestly such a great feeling to know that I have made myself accountable for achieving my 4 goals by making them public. I obviously finalized my Iceland trip since I have just returned from it. Make sure you guys stayed tuned as that will be my next blog post 🙂 Secondly, I have launched my podcast and I’ve been having a great time brainstorming my interview questions, recruiting new guests, etc. It’s been such a fun journey and I have learned a lot along the way. Again, if you haven’t listened to my podcast, The City Confessions, be sure to download it here.

One of my other priority for this month was to plan and enjoy my birthday and I must say, this year has been my best birthday yet! I was blessed to be surrounded by amazing friends and have never felt more love than I did a few weekends ago. In regards to my meditation schedule, I have been on it up until my birthday weekend so I am proud of myself for sticking with it. I have to also constantly remind myself that if I fall off track, I can always pick it back up again and to not be too harsh on myself.

Now that I’ve recapped my January monthly goals, I am moving on to February goals and I have come up with the below three:

  • Be selective with NYFW: I have had the privilege to experience several seasons of NYFW and I’ve always had a great time. However, I am making a conscious decision to lay low this season because I just returned from Iceland and I also have a few travel trips coming up. The last thing I want to do is burn myself out so I am probably only choosing to go to a few shows and events.
  • Do a mini health detox: I had a great time during my birthday and definitely let a little loose when it came to diet and nutrition. For the next 4 weeks, I want to do a mini health detox, nothing drastic or crazy but I just want to be a little more careful of what I’m putting into my body. It’s always a struggle considering the industry I am in and all the social events I want to attend, but I definitely want to be a little more strict this month.
  • Plan my next travels: I have Antigua planned for the end of the month but I also know that I have some other trips in the works for March and April. As many of you know, I absolutely love traveling so I want to be able to map out some of my travel plans for the next few months.

I am excited for what February has in store for me. It’s a short month but I think a lot of great things are to come! Instead of moving from each month to the next, I am really taking the time to soak in what every day and week looks like for me and adopting self reflection and gratitude has made me feel more full. What are your main goals for this February?

Christine | Wow this resort looks fantastic! The modern room decor and colors are so beautiful and so spacious. I love how bright and luxurious the hotel looks and feels. And can we talk about this amazing restaurant? I love seafood and the fish and octopus looks beyond delicious! The desserts look fab too and would be devoured in seconds if it were me. Thanks for sharing your stay with us!
