FIVE MUST EAT PLACES IN NYC

*Outfit Details with affiliate links: Romper (Shein), Bag (Furla), Watch (Daniel Wellington)

I am a huge foodie at heart and I think it’s difficult to not be one especially if you live in NYC. I constantly go on the Infatuation’s Instagram because that’s where I make my bucket list of places I want to eat. My favorite meal of all time is breakfast, so it’s not a surprise that I love brunching in the city. It’s part of my Sunday routine with my sister and makes for a great bonding experience. I’ve been to many places since we started to make this a thing and of course some were average and some were amazing. You can obviously do a quick yelp search, but I thought I’d save you some time and list five must eat places in the city. Not all of them are specifically for brunch/breakfast since I have a sweet tooth so of course a few are dessert places as well.

1. Thompson Square Bagels: I cannot stress how delicious these bagels are! Not only does this place serve your typical cream cheese fillings, but they also have a great assortment to choose from such as birthday cake cream cheese, scallion bacon cream cheese, etc. My favorite is the Weezer which consists of chorizo, bacon, eggs, cheddar cheese and the wow factor, which is the scallion cream cheese! I have been there twice and have waited around 30 mins both times but I will still go there again because that’s how good it is! It isn’t the healthiest so I try to go every now and then since I do value healthy and nutritious foods. But I will say that this breakfast sandwich will fill you up, so technically one meal will keep you satisfied for hours. The best part is the customization because you can choose pre made signature combinations or make your own!

2. Taiyaki: Taiyaki serves the cutest ice cream ever! It’s basically in a fish coned shape and tastes amazing. This will definitely be my go to spot for the summer. They are also known for serving matcha ice cream, so if you are a fan of matcha and desserts, this is the place for you! This is also a great Instagram worthy place so come here if you’d like to add some cool content to your feed 🙂

3. Bibble & Sip: Do me a favor and just check out all the reviews and ratings on yelp for this place! I’ve been here once with my friend and we were magically sold on the first bite. I can’t really explain what makes it so special but I think it’s the cream in the pastries that make you feel like you’re in heaven. Honestly if you are ever in NYC, I would highly recommend this place. I’m not even going to try and explain why this is on my list because you honestly have to experience it yourself!

4. Shopsins: I dont think a lot of people know about this place because it’s in a food market but it’s also close to where I live, so I’d like to think it’s somewhat of a local place. The menu is insane and I think there are literally 100 items that you can choose from. They have weird but delicious combinations and funny names for their plates such as blisters from my sisters. I had mac and cheese pancakes as a sandwich with scrambled eggs and bacon in the middle. Like what???? I came here primarily because I knew I couldn’t eat this food anywhere else and it definitely didn’t disappoint.

5. Bluestone Lane: I saw a lot of people posting about this place on Instagram so I added it to my list. And oh my gosh, the avocado toast is out of the world!! I’m a sucker for avocado toast but this one is on a different level. One serving is basically a whole entree because the bread is thick and the avocado is creamy. I always tell myself that if you leave the place still thinking about the food then you have to go back. I still think about the avocado toast till this day so that must tell you something.

And there we have it! My favorite 5 places in New York City to grab a bite, brunch or dessert. I have a whole list of places that I still need to check off but once I finalize on another five places worth checking out, I’ll let you know! What is your favorite place to eat in your city and if you’ve been to NYC what was your favorite place to dine?

  • Is it bad every time I go to NYC, I just eat Shake Shack everyday? Haha it's nice to know some other delicious foods exist other than burgers. Bubble & Sip is definitely on my list of must-try's now!

    • I'm not a huge fan of fast food so surprisingly I've only been to Shake Shack once. I love exploring different foods that you are unique and different :)
