FIVE THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR

I can’t believe it’s already the end of November! I absolutely love this time of year because there’s something joyful about the holidays. I thought it would be appropriate to write a blog post on the five things that I am grateful for this year since Thanksgiving was just last week. I also think it’s important to reflect on all the things that has happened in 2016 and take a moment to just appreciate the good (and the bad).

  • My blog: I am so grateful for my blog and having the opportunity to express my thoughts on this platform. For those of you who didn’t know, I started my blog in May of 2015, but I didn’t seriously put effort and dedication until probably January/ February of this year. I have found satisfaction and happiness through writing articles about my fashion outfits, travel experiences, random thoughts and advice, etc. I have come to value myself through my blog and I am so excited to continue this journey for 2017!
  • Instagram friends: I have made genuine connections with bloggers through Instagram this year and I am so thankful for them!  I have been lucky enough to meet some people in person at events or for coffee dates and it has been refreshing to form friendships through social media. It’s sometimes difficult to relate to your friends if they’re not into blogging, so it’s always great to meet and talk with people who are in the same industry.
  • Support System: I am thankful for my support system and those who have believed in me since day 1. I know that this goes back to my blog and my Instagram friends, but blogging has really taken a toll on me this year for the better. I know that not everybody understands the concept of blogging, but I have been blessed to have friends and family who support what I love to do.
  • Roof over my head: Yes, this sounds cliche, but it’s true! I mean have you ever thought about how lucky we are to be able to have a place called home? I am honestly grateful that I am able to support myself, have food to eat, water to drink, a job for income and a place to live. These are all basic necessities that allow me to survive and I definitely think sometimes we take these for granted or forget to acknowledge them/ be thankful for them.
  • Internet/Technology: Who would we be without the internet or technology? Our generation cannot live without wifi and that’s a sad reality. However, I am grateful for the benefits of the Internet because I have access to resources that have allowed me to pursue my blogging passion. I have found photographers to shoot with, bloggers to brunch with, brands to work with, tutorials and outfit inspirations, etc. It has truly been a privilege because I know not everybody has access to the Internet.

Those are five of the things that I am grateful for, but the list can go on and on. I encourage you all to find time and think about what you’re grateful for as well and let me know what you come up with!
