FOUR BACK TO SCHOOL LOOKS

I’m currently not in school, but I thought it’d be fun to write a blog post highlighting four back to school looks that I would totally wear if I was still in college. One of the staple items that I relied on when I was on campus were sneakers. I also feel like a lot of students can wear them in a stylish way and the Adidas Superstars are trendy and always in style. I don’t own the Adidas because I actually fell in love with my PUMA Roma instead, so all four looks will be styled with white sneakers.

I was sent some lovely items from Rosegal, another online boutique that houses affordable and trendy clothing. I love the variety of items and the prices because let’s be real, I was broke in college as I’m sure many of you are or were. However, I am going to show you four different ways where you can still look fashionable without going over your budget.

LOOK 1: Preppy and Classic

I call this look the preppy and classic because of the striped print and the cute ruffles on the bottom. This dress is extremely comfortable and it’s still warm out even though it’s September, so this dress is appropriate for the weather and for school. You can also layer this with a cardigan or a jean jacket which will make the look even cuter. I paired these up with my Puma sneakers because I think it goes together for a causal look. I would totally wear this to school because it’s the perfect balance of looking stylish for school.

LOOK 2: Cool Gal

Maybe it’s because this dress is navy blue but I feel like it just represents a “cool gal.” I love the fit of this dress because it’s not super tight like a bodycon dress, but it’s also not loose like a summer dress. It’s the perfect length and the material is super soft. I accessorized my outfit with a wrap bracelet and a triangle layered necklace from Victoria Emerson and of course with my favorite backpack as it is super school appropriate. I think this look is great for a Thursday or Friday because you can grab drinks, food or go to the mall or movies with your friends afterwards. I don’t know why, but I just feel like this is a look that makes me look forward to the weekend. If you do end up going out at night, feel free to swap these out with a pair of heels or wedges and you have transformed your school day look to a night out look.
LOOK 3: LAID BACK CHIC

I am currently obsessed with the olive colors and think it’s beautiful for the fall. I honestly believe all skin tones look great in this dress and I know for a fact that olive green will be the go to color for this season. I also love the whole denim jacket trend and thought it paired so well with this dress. I wouldn’t wear any other shoes with this outfit besides the Puma sneakers because this look just screams relaxation to me. Going with the choker trends, I wore this necklace and thought it was edgy and completed this look perfectly.

LOOK 4: RELAXED GIRLY

This look is perfect for those who want to hold onto summer for as long as they can. I think the off the shoulder aspect makes it girly and fun. Pairing this dress with sneakers, however makes it more relaxed and for some reason I prefer to wear sneakers over sandals with this look. I accessorized this dress with choker necklace from Veronika Payne and thought it was a great choice because I felt a little empty on the top since it’s an off the shoulder styled dress. It always gets a little chilly around mid September, so I decided to also wear the denim jacket for an extra layer. Of course, I had to also include my favorite backpack as it makes this look super causal, fun and perfect for school!

All of these looks are true to my style and are outfits that I think are causal and definitely school appropriate. Let me know what your favorite outfit is and what clothing or trends you are wearing whether you’re in school or out of school!
