I have found myself wearing my denim jacket a lot recently and I think it’s due to the beautiful weather. It’s not warm enough to just go out without a jacket and for some reason, I feel like I don’t have anything in between a winter coat and a cardigan. I am planning to do a wardrobe swap since we are transitioning into warmer weather and have noted that I only have a denim jacket that is appropriate to wear. If you guys have transitional outwear pieces, let me know! As far as denim jackets, I think everybody should own one just like every every woman should have a little black dress in their closets because it honestly goes with anything and I love that there are different styles such as cut, color and fit.
I’ve decided to show four different styles and explain how you can wear this. The best part is that you can style these with everything including dresses, skirts, jeans, etc.

1.Distressed Denim Jacket: I definitely wanted to include a denim jacket that was white because I think it’s a different take on the typical denim style. I think this is a great option for those who are a little more conservative or classy since the style is classic and simple. I also love the distressed details since it adds a nice touch.
2. Denim Trucker Jacket: This is perfect for a more causal look. I would wear this on the weekends to run errands and even to meet up with friends for brunch. I also think this is perfect to travel in as it is lightweight to carry to the airport and to destinations where it’s spring season. The length and style seems very similar to the one I am wearing in my photos. I also personally prefer bigger denim jackets as I use them for layering.
3. Oversized Denim Jacket: When I first saw this, I automatically thought of my sister because she is in college and I think this is the perfect item for campus students. This is perfect for those who want to look effortlessly stylish. Even with some gym leggings and sneakers, I think this outfit can be very cool and perfect for on the go.
3. Embellished Cropped Denim: This is definitely for those who are more fashionable and edgy because it’s such a fun denim jacket as evident from the embellishments and patches. I would dress this up with a nice LBD and some sandal heels and wear this for a summer event. I also think wearing sunglasses and a bun with this outfit would complete this outfit!

I love denim jackets styled with dresses! I used to own a bunch of denim jackets in different colors as a kid (white, black, pink, light blue, etc). Now I only own one distressed one and love it! I think the next one I want is either an oversized one or an embroidered one!

I've actually never own a white denim jacket, but I might have to add one to my wardrobe this spring!
For someone who loves denim (me) it's essential to stock up on denim jackets and that's why I have approx 10 of them in all different styles and shapes and colors, haha. Call me weird, but I'm a huge denimoholic! Love the way you paired your jacket with the skirt!

Thank you Bernice. As we transition into spring, I think a denim jacket is the best way to get away with wearing a dress for this type of weather since it's not quite as warm to wear a dress alone.

I just got a new denim jacket that combines a few of these styles - oversized, embellished, and distressed. I'm so in love with it! Although I have a petite frame so I need to be careful about styling the oversized shape with my body. Thanks for the suggestions!

I am petite as well, so I can definitely relate on the struggle of finding well fitted clothing. However, I think outerwear, especially denim jackets are a bit easier since they are meant to be worn on top of your clothes.
Distressed and oversized denim jackets are definitely my favorites! They are the simplest and most casual to style, as they both require minimal effort. The most classic is the one you're wearing :)

You truly can't go wrong with having a denim jacket in your wardrobe! It's so timeless. I'm loving the embroidered look for spring but the trucker jacket is such a classic, I'd probably end up getting that one.
