Gigi Hadid X Maybelline Collection

Everyone is losing it over the Gigi Hadid X Maybelline Collection. I personally think it is amazing that a household name like Gigi Hadid is collaborating with an affordable drugstore brand like Maybelline. The packaging itself is a very similar to the Kim K and Fenty cosmetic lines with a nude-pink theme. Most of the products are items that already existed within the Maybelline line includes the new City Mini Palettes, the Lash Sensational Mascara, and the Maybelline Liquid Strobes. However, the exterior of all the products are upgraded to go with the rest of the collection. The entire collection is split into East Coast Glam, West Coast Glam, and the Jetsetter Palette.

Both the East Coast and West Coast Glam come with three lipsticks with matching lip liners, a tinted primer, liquid strobe, gel eyeliner, two eyeshadow palettes, mascara, and eyeshadow brush. The tinted primer is fairly dark and may not work for paler skin tones, but the liner and the liquid strobe are rich in pigment and very smooth. The main difference between the two is that the East Coast coast look is more natural, and minimal versus the beachy, fun West Coast look. Gigi curated the East Coast collection to have a sophisticated vibe with more natural eye contour palettes, muted lip colors, and a fiber mascara. On the other hand, there are more bright, shimmery colors in the West Coast eyeshadow palettes, vibrant lip colors, and voluminous mascara.

The Jetsetter Palette is probably what everyone is most excited about. It comes with two lip balms, two concealers, four eyeshadows, blush, bronzer, highlight, and a mascara. It is meant to include all the essentials when you travel. The colors look gorgeous especially the eyeshadow pigments along with the stunning highlights. It also comes with a fairly large mirror and two small brushes and is supposed to be perfect for traveling.

While there are certain things to keep in mind before you spend your money on these products, it can be assured that Gigi did an awesome job with this collaboration. The colors that she curated are absolutely gorgeous and overall, the collection was very well executed and definitely a success. What do you guys think of this collection?
