GREY LAYERS

Grey has to be one of my favorite colors to wear this winter. I like it better than white since white is a little too bright and summery for me and black is obviously the opposite as it can sometimes feel too dark.  Grey reminds of of the middle bear in Goldilocks. What I also love about grey is that there are different shades, so mixing and matching helps to add color and dimensions, which is exactly what I did for this outfit.

I am wearing a grey sparkled top with a black transparent back layer from Necessary Boutique and black American Apparel nylon leggings. I layered it with a darker grey long cardigan and my black jacket. I also thought wearing my infinity black scarf helped to add more depth and color.  My knee high boots are from Steve Madden and my black handbag is from Kate Spade.

This outfit is super causal yet it’s a stylish and simple way to layer for the winter. I definitely felt warm because my cardigan was thick and felt like a light coat. I recommend putting similar colored items together and finding neutral cardigans as they are perfect for layering with regular tops and coats during the colder months.
