Happy Labor Day!

Apparently, you can’t wear white after Labor Day and I’m not sure who made that ridiculous rule up, but a lot of people live by it. I don’t really think there’s anything wrong with wearing white after September, but I do think it probably goes with the seasonal transition into fall and the weather slowly dropping into the 70s. Fall is my favorite season because I absolutely adore the chillier weather and it’s also my favorite time to layer clothing without wearing heavy coats. But, I did want to take a minute to say goodbye to summer even though it stills feels like summer. Within two weeks, we will officially welcome fall and I’m okay with that.

I bought this dress from Necessary Clothing Boutique and I never got a chance to wear this baby. Being that it’s white with black stripes, it was a little more dressy than a little black dress. I would’ve loved to worn this for a BBQ or a summer gathering, but unfortunately that didn’t happen. I still think that this would be very useful for next summer and it’s sad that I might have to wait that long to wear it, but I am happy to add it to my summer closet for now. It isn’t a bodycon dress because it’s not extremely fitted. I actually like that it hugs me around my hips and waist but fits naturally on the top and bottom. It’s also not too revealing or too sophisticated. I think it’s very classic and simple, yet chic and fashionable. I don’t know what it is about this outfit, but I feel like a confident woman wearing it and that’s a feeling I never want to lose.

The best part is that you can wear any accessories because the colors are neutral. I decided to wear my gold clutch to make this outfit pop and I wore my usual beige and white Lulu sandal heels. I could’ve opt to wear any other color heels such as blue or orange/red because that also pairs up nice with gold. Adding some gold jewelry could also tie this look together, but since I am not actually going anywhere, I decided to just show the dress itself. The possibilities are endless with this dress and that’s why I love it so much!
