HAWAIIAN TROPIC REVIEW

It’s summertime and the living is easy! I love when it’s warm outside because I am an outdoorsy person who enjoys getting vitamin D and having fun in the sun! During the summers, I love going to the beach, pool, BBQs and boat rides. Usually it’s a long event and I’m outside for more than several hours. I have recently been getting into skincare and beauty products because I’m at the age where I want to take good care of my skin for the long haul. I’ve made it my top priority this summer to always put on sunscreen with SPF before I leave my apartment. It’s also very important to put on SPF whenever you go outside, even on cloudy days because you still need to protect your skin when the sun is not directly shining on you.

I was excited to try the Hawaiian Tropic’s Silk Hydration Weightless Lotion Sunscreen SPF 30 because it’s a lightweight sunscreen with a pump applicator, which makes it extremely easy and convenient to put on. I have used the tanning oil from Hawaiian Tropic before, so I was familiar with the brand. I figured their sunscreen would be just as good and after trying it on, I can safely report that I wasn’t disappointed at all! The Silk Hydration Weightless Lotion Sunscreen is blended with exotic island botanicals, smells great and is water resistant for up to 80 minutes! I’m usually not a fan of sunscreens in lotion formula because the texture can be greasy, heavy and felt extremely thick on my skin. However, I absolutely love the weightless and airsoft texture of the Sunscreen from Hawaiian Tropic because it hydrates my skin like no other sunscreen has before.

I also realized that I didn’t mind reapplying this sunscreen throughout the day. I went to the beach today and I figured the process would be a bit annoying with all the sand. I assumed the lotion would feel greasy on my hands and the process would be messy, but when I put another layer on my body, it actually went on smoothly because the texture is so light. This lotion doesn’t contain high SPF, so it’s important to reapply but I love that it’s a breathable formula so you barely feel it on you. I definitely plan on using the Silk Hydration Weightless Lotion Sunscreen for the rest of the summer because I want to take good care of my skin, especially with all the outdoor activities I have planned. You can find this product in mass, grocery and drug retailers nationwide and online for $9.99 which is average for sunscreen and affordable.

I was also gifted the Hawaiian Tropic Sheer Touch Ultra Radiance After Sun Moisturizer and I was excited when I discovered that it is blended with Shea Butter complex and mango fruit extract. For those who are not aware, I am crazy about lotions and absolutely love anything with mango in it! I moisturize my body everyday and that’s my secret to having soft, silk like skin. I think there’s no better feeling than coming out of the shower after a long day out on the beach or pool and lathering pleasant lotion on your body. I think one of the best feature is that there’s a skin brightening effect so it gives me a subtle, luminous radiance, which is what summer is all about! It goes with the whole beach, sun and outdoors vibe and I feel complete once I put this on. I think it’s also a good idea to put this on before I go out with your friends or for a late night dinner.
