HOW TO BE A BOSS BABE

Ever since I was young, I always knew I wanted to work for myself and be a boss babe. I had tons of dreams and aspirations, but could never narrow it down to one occupation. When I was working a 9-6 office job, I realized that it wasn’t for me. Maybe it was my role or the company, but I knew I wanted to report to myself and essentially pursue a career that would further my brand. Fast forward to now, I am my own boss and social media has taught me a lot of business skills that I am grateful for. I didn’t study business in school and I will openly admit that I didn’t have much business skills or experience, but I did have an entrepreneur fire in me. I was obsessed with watching Shark Tank when I first discovered the show and was jealous of people who found their passion an was working everyday to grow it.

Part of being a boss babe is to have confidence and own it. Do I always have my life together? No. Do I get stressed easily and break down every now and then? Of course. I’ve learned that a big part of being a boss babe is to fake it till you make it. And I know some people hate that phrase and even disagree with the message, but it has actually helped me get to where I am today. Sometimes, if you don’t know the answer, I think it’s a good idea to just fake it because it shows that you are willing to figure it out. I also don’t like to take no for an answer especially if it’s something that I want. There are always alternatives to get what you want and I think it’s important to negotiate and find other methods.

People ask me all the time where I see my life in five years or what I want to do with my blog. The truth is, I don’t really know and I know that’s a terrible answer because we should all have a set vision for our future. Even though I don’t have all those details, I know that I do want to make an impact in the world as cheesy as that sounds. I have come to the point where fame or growth doesn’t matter to me as much as positive influence. I want to use my platform to inspire others to go for what they want and to never give up because as a native New Yorker, I have been hustling my whole life and I am proud to say that my hard work has paid off.

Everybody and anybody can be a boss babe. It comes down to how bad you want it and what you are willing to do for it. I have never been a fan of excuses or pity and I do understand that life circumstances play a vital role in the decisions that we make in our lives, but I also believe that if you are driven and you are confident, the universe will reward you eventually. If you are a boss babe, let me know what your number one tip is in achieving your goals!
