JANUARY 2019 MONTHLY GOALS

*Outfit details with affiliate links: Jumpsuit | Heels | Jacket | Bag

Happy New Year! I can’t believe we’re already in 2019 but as I mentioned in my last post, I’m actually really excited for this year! I have a strong feeling that this is going to be my best year yet and I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for me. Instead of making new year’s resolutions in 2018, I decided to make monthly goals and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. I enjoy starting each month on a positive note by asking myself what I want to achieve for the month and revisiting my goals at the end of the month. With that being said, I am continuing my monthly goals series this year!

Since January is the first month of the year and one that follows after the chaotic holidays, I decided to not over exert myself and be realistic with my goals so my focus this month are:

  • Finalizing Iceland Trip: I am in the process of planning an Iceland trip at the end of January. Most of it is already confirmed in terms of accommodations and activities. I have yet to book my flight as I am waiting for one more confirmation, but my goal is to have this set in stone. My deadline is actually by end of next week so fingers crossed this gets solidified so I can begin to pack my bags and get excited for my trip!
  • Launch podcast and stay on track: I am launching a podcast, The City Confessions and it’s been something I’ve been working on for the last month. My next post will be dedicated to the podcast where I give you more information about it. If you search it up on iTunes, I actually already have my first episode live. I have pre-recorded a month’s worth of episodes but my goal is to continue to record and stay on track so I can follow my one episode a week schedule.
  • Plan my birthday: Another reason why I’m excited for this month is because it’s my birthday month! It’s also my golden birthday as I am turning 27 on the 27th and apparently that means it’s going to be a good luck year 🙂 I would rather have someone else plan my birthday but I do enjoy parts of it since I feel like I have different friend groups and it’s a great opportunity to get everybody together. I know some people hate birthdays but I enjoy it because it’s the one day that I get to spend time with the people I love and of course feel the love!
  • Be consistent with meditation: I picked up meditation last year and it was life changing! I usually meditate first thing in the morning and it has done wonders for me. I would love to add this into my daily routine and not fall off track.

As you can see, my January goals are realistic. Now that I’ve listed these four goals, I am better equip to achieving them as I can focus on them more. Sure, I might have other tasks to check off on my to-do list but at the end of the day, they all should lead up to my bigger goals. I hope your year is off to a great start and do let me know what’s one priority you have for January!
