2020 is here and I’m ready to start this year with a full tank and engine! I am so pumped because after releasing my latest and emotional episode on my podcast The City Confessions, I have found a sense of clarity with my mission and purpose in life. I always share my personal goals on my blog because I love to use it as a means of accountability. Instead of writing New Years Resolutions, I have been setting monthly goals for the last two years and happy to be continuing it this year as well.
I love January because not only is it my birthday month, but because there’s a fresh energy that I feel when the year actually changes. I don’t think we need a new year to start a new chapter in our lives but it does make it easier. I have been doing a lot of self reflection on everything that 2019 has taught me in my latest post and I have been doing a lot of goal setting and brainstorming with the intention that they will support my vision of where I want to be at the end of 2020. If you guys haven’t already done so, I would highly encourage you to jot down your goals because you’ll be amazed at how much focus this requires to manifest them into reality.

Let’s start this year strong and let’s start it with some intense goal setting and goal getting! I know January can feel like a slow month because we are all recovering from the holidays but I think once you adopt a mentality of accomplishing your goals especially during the first few weeks of January, your motivation and drive can be your catalyst to moving at a consistent speed throughout 2020!

IT's actually so much fun! I'm really enjoying it :)
Writing down your goals is so good! Otherwise it's indeed super hard to focus on them. Great goals you have :) :)

I totally agree! I hope you were able to write goals for this year too :)
Yes I agree 100%.
Loved reading this post. I love writing down my goals and if I share them with others it's another layer of accountability, not to others but to myself and usually that's the whole point. I'll definitely have to check your podcast out, I love podcasts while I am getting ready for work and on my drive to work.

I love hearing that! My roommate and I have been sharing our goals each week and journal. It's a great way to stay connected with our feelings, thoughts and desires!
I'm totally with you on adoring that fresh, 'new slate' vibe that January brings with it - oh and happy birthday for this month too, gorgeous! I adore your chic, warm aesthetic and so really looking forward to seeing your blog posts of 2020 :)

You're so sweet! Thank you Gabrielle :)
I love the idea of setting goals each month! Learning a new language is a great goal to have and I've heard a lot of good things about Duolingo. Have a great 2020!

I've been taking lessons consistently so I'm hoping to keep up with it!
I like the accountability part because if i say out loud I have a better chance of following my goals. Nice photos!

Yes I couldn't agree more :)
Love your goals, babe! And the idea of setting goals each month is truly wonderful - I might apply it, too. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

I hope you do love! It's such a great way to stay focused.
January felt soooo slow, yet here we are in February! I might look into Duolingo too. There is a lot of Spanish spoken in Texas and I'd love to be able to speak it. Such a romantic language!
It's also one of the easier languages!
