JULY GOALS

*Dress kindly provided by Lulus

Somebody please pinch me because I swear I just wrote June’s monthly goals a week ago! I honestly have no idea how time flies by because it feels like within a blink of an eye, we are already in July! (And actually I just noticed that that rhymes, haha!) When I take a step back to grasp how quickly we are moving into summer, I am more motivated to take advantage of the gorgeous weather! When we were approaching June, I was getting ready to enjoy all the outdoor activities, but now that it’s been extremely hot in NYC, I finally feel like summer has arrived 🙂

As per usual, I always start off  my monthly goals by revisiting the goals I set for last month. I had four goals in mind for the month of June, which included sticking to my fitness program, planning my next vacation, maintaining a clean room space and do a new collaboration. I am proud to announce that your girl has achieved all of them! I feel like June was a really productive month for me and it was jam packed with a lot of projects and events. It was difficult to stick with my fitness program, not on the training side but more on the diet. I have definitely turned down some great dining experiences and resisted myself from indulging in desserts, but I am very happy with my progress and dedication. I am also extremely excited because I am going to London at the end of July and that’s a vacation that I have been wanting to go to for the longest. I actually studied abroad in London but haven’t been back since so it’s going to be a great time! I have started to plan my itinerary and I just know that I am going to have the best time there!

I have also held myself accountable for cleaning my room every week and organizing all my packages. I think doing this on the weekends has helped me make this into a habit so I believe this goal will be consistent throughout the whole year! And last but not least, I wanted to do a new collaboration because it’s important to connect with others in the industry. It’s difficult because we all have such busy schedules during the summer but I was able to go to the Vuevue Cliquot Polo Classic with my best friend, Katya Bychkova from Style Sprinter  and she actually has a post about the experience here! It’s always great to experience an event like that with a friend and I’m happy that we were able to also collaborate with Ted Baker as our #tedtotoe looks were provided generously by the amazing brand.

Since July is a few days away and we’re already halfway through 2018, I thought I sit down and actually think about what I want to do this month and here are three goals I’ve come up with:

  1. Start investing and be more comfortable with it: I’ve always had an interest in investing and actually started it in June but I want to be more comfortable with investing because I think it’s a great way to be smart about your savings. I have been educating myself more with the whole financial industry and I want to have a positive mindset on money so I am very determined to achieve this goal by the end of July.
  2. ENJOY SUMMER: I know this is a goal that might seem obvious and you guys are wondering why would I list this but to be honest, I can sometimes get sucked into work and in my own mind that I forget to enjoy summer! Summer is one of the best time of the year because the weather just makes everybody happier. I want to be able to enjoy and be outdoors as much as possible and just live a carefree life because I know summer is going to fly by!
  3. Go on a cruise or attend summer only event: This one is a bit vague and might relate to my second goal of enjoying summer but I really want to participate in a summer only event. I was thinking of a cruise because I know they have them on the weekends or even a movie screening at the park. I just want to be able to take advantage of all the activities that are only possible during this time of year!

I only set three goals for myself this year because I am spending the last week of July in London and I want to be able to soak up as much as I can while I’m there. The best part of these monthly goals is that you have control over what you want to achieve! They can be as small as cleaning your room like I had for last month. Let me know what your main priority is for the month of July!
