I love basics because who doesn’t? There’s something safe about wearing neutrals and I absolutely love finding new ways wear them in a fashionable and stylish way. When you have a statement piece or a clothing item that has bright colors or strong print, you can count on those elements to make your outfit stand out. It is more difficult working with basic clothing and neutrals, but I still admire those who can wear basics and still look amazing.

This is my attempt at looking causal chic by sticking with only black and white colors. I guess it helps that I recently dyed my hair because that in itself has added a little color to my look. However, if you focus on my outfit I was able to add a little more style by wearing a crop turtle neck and a high waisted denim skirt. I am showing a little skin but I think that helps break the look. I could’ve opt to accessorize this outfit with a bright bag but I kept it simple by also wearing a black and white bag with gold features. I wanted to be comfortable so I wore these black oxford shoes and overall, I think this is an outfit that anybody can pull off.

I also love these two pieces because they are versatile and I can dress them in many ways for the upcoming winter season. I can wear some tights underneath for the colder weather and even knee high boots. I can also layer this outfit with a thick peacoat. Let me know if you are a fan of basics and what pieces you can always count on!

Seriously in love with your gunmetal hair color! It’s so subtle but definitely looks pretty edgy as well cause of the ashy tones. I always love sticking to my basics.

Thank you Quinn! That’s exactly why I got those shoes because they’re like oxfords but with a twist since it’s open back!
