MARCH GOALS

February flew by as expected and I can’t believe it’s already March. It has been a whirlwind of a month for me and I am happy to welcome March as I am slowly getting back into the groove of things. As many of you might know, I have decided to do monthly goals ever since 2018 started because I found it to be a great way for me to prioritize what I wanted to accomplish.

Looking back at my February goals post I am happy to report that I  have met all of them including spoiling myself, starting meditation and spending quality time with my family. If you watched my Milan vlog, then you know that I treated myself to my first designer bag and if that’s not spoiling myself, then I don’t know what is! I have no regrets with my purchase because I have allowed myself to accept the thought that I deserve it. Mid way through the month, I realized I didn’t try meditation at all, but because I knew the month was ending, I started to incorporate 10 minute sessions in the morning. I didn’t do this everyday. I listened to my body and only did it when I felt stressed, but it has been a great way for me to calm my mind. And last but not least, I definitely spent a lot of quality time with my family since Chinese New Year occurred this month. It’s refreshing to be with family and I will make a better effort to dedicate more time to them from now on.

Moving on from self reflecting on February goals, I have come up with four new goals for the month of March.

  1. Eat healthier/ practice mindful eating: I would consider myself a relatively healthy person because I work out 5x a week and I choose healthy foods. However, due to traveling, I have been more flexible with my diet and nutrition and there’s nothing wrong with that. Since I will be traveling again in the beginning of April, I would like to use this month to set a foundation for me since spring/summer is right around the corner.
  2. Release another guide/programI created a free step to step guide in creating a blogger media kit ebook and released it to all who subscribed to my newsletter. I would like to do another free guide to help others out with blogging. After 2.5 years of doing this, I have realized I want to give more advice and hopefully help others out.
  3. Connect with bloggers/ friends: If I must be truthful, I think one of my strengths is connecting with bloggers and improving my friendships with my friends. Relationships mean a lot to me but I want to use this month to connect more since February was a crazy month for me. I would like to get to know more people, hear their story and see the relationship grow. As I grow older, I have come to realize that the people you surround yourself with are extremely important and I am looking forward to building my network and forming quality relationships.
  4. Start spring cleaning: I love a clean space because that allows me to be balance and calm. I am making an effort to clean out my closet and room this month and get rid of all the things that don’t bring me happiness or purpose. I have been putting this off because I have been busy and traveling, but I definitely want to buckle down and do an intense cleaning, so I can create more space in my room.

These goals make me excited for March even though I’ve never been a fan of that month. If you haven’t created monthly goals for yourself, I suggest you do so because it has been a great way for me to stay on track and be analytical with my long term goals. Let me know what your main goals are for the month of March!
