Am I the only one who thinks of gold and metallic when it comes to New Year’s Eve? Just like I associate red with Christmas, I can’t help, but lean towards gold for New Year’s Eve. I wanted to show how you can style a holiday dress for everyday wear because I’m all about versatility. I love the challenge of being able to recreate different looks because I hate to buy an item to wear only once.
This dress is cute on its own and is perfectly fine to wear for a New Year’s Party. The color is appropriate, the style is super adorable and it’s easy to dress it up or down. I like to be fancy for the holidays, so I wore my fabulous, blanket inspired soft coat as my outerwear. It may be hard to believe, but it’s actually very warm and I feel like a bear wearing it. I’m telling you guys, this is probably one of my favorite items this winter so if you want to feel cozy and still look like a boss, get it 🙂 Overall, I love the color scheme of this outfit and it’s one of my favorite looks thus far.
The last pic above is also another option of how to dress this for everyday wear. I normally don’t do this but I think it’s a great idea by wearing another top over the dress as it now turns into a skirt. I think the color pops so it’s okay to put a plain black top over it. It’s very causal, but I also think it’s stylish.

I totally agree. For those who want a more conservative look, a top over the dress is the best way to go!
I'd actually love to rock some metallics, but for me that would probably be in form of shoes or pants, maybe add a cap to that. That bear like coat is WAY cozy looking and I could seriously live in it all winter long, haha.
