OCTOBER 2020 FAVORITES

During this past month, I have been introduced to some new items and I wanted to share my favorites with you all. I am grateful to receive PR packages from companies and it’s always an exciting time. I do however like to actually sample the items before sharing because authenticity and honesty is something I pride myself on. I figured I would tackle different categories and have only chosen one item for each one so these are my absolutely favorite items in this past month:

OCTOBER FAVORITES:
  • Beauty: Glow Recipe Papaya Enzyme Cleansing Balm
When it comes to cleansers, I love cleansing balms because not only am I a fan of the texture on my skin, but I feel like it does the job with removing all my makeup especially my waterproof mascara. Glow Recipe launched their Papaya Enzyme Cleansing Balm not too long ago and I have to say this is my new favorite cleanser! I am a huge fan of pretty much all of their products but this one stands out from the rest. I don’t like strong or overpowering scents, but this papaya smell is a fresh tropical scent that makes you feel like you’re on vacation. The smooth sorbet balm-to-milky oil is just what my skin needs especially during this transition time to chillier months. I have sensitive skin but this cleanser is extremely gentle and I love that my skin feels hydrated and clean after!
  • Food: jcoco Chocolate
What girl doesn’t love chocolate? When I received this package from jcoco Chocolate, I almost lost it! because the package is absolutely stunning! All of the chocolate are packaged beautifully in color-blocked wrappers, and meant to be shared. My favorites products from this Seattle Chocolate company are the three new truffle bars, which comes in three flavors including Mango Plantain, Orange Blossom Espresso, and 85% Dark. Since the holidays are coming up, this would make for a great gift as jcoco offers stylish gift sets, including their signature color-blocked Prism Gift Box, which features a 1oz bar in each of jcoco’s 10 inspired flavors. I also want to point out that for every 3oz of jcoco chocolate sold, one fresh serving of food is donated by Seattle Chocolate Company to someone in need, in partnership with hunger-fighting organizations like Northwest Harvest, Food Bank for New York City and SF-Marin Food Bank. Almost four million servings of food have been donated to the organizations thus far! If you love chocolate, you have to try jcoco!
  • Drink: Nespresso Pumpkin Spice Cake Limited Edition
This shouldn’t be a surprise but it’s October so I have been embracing the pumpkin spice latte season. I actually am not a huge fan of the pumpkin spice offered by Starbucks since I am loyal to my Nespresso. I tried their Pumpkin Spice Cake Limited Edition last year for the first time and it’s just as enjoyable this second time around. It’s not an overpowering pumpkin flavor because it contains  cloves, cinnamon, cardamom and sweet pumpkin flavors blend with Arabicas from Ethiopia, Central and South America to bring you a one-of-a-kind dessert-inspired coffee moment. It’s the highlight of my morning 🙂
  • Fashion: Carrot Eyewear
Ever since I did my podcast with Dr. Jennifer Tsai I was intrigued by blue light glasses and she was kind enough to send me a pair from her eyewear line. I loved the Cosmo because not only do they have blue light blocking but I think they’re fashionable to wear. I have been wearing them every time I work on my computer and I can safely say that I don’t experience eye strains as much anymore!
  • Jewelry: Helen Ficalora Aquarius Zodiac Necklace
If you know me, you know that I’m obsessed with astrology and I am always drawn to things that have the Aquarius symbol. I also absolutely love jewelry and it’s my go to accessory because I think it elevates any look. I have been wearing this beautiful Helen Ficalora Aquarius Zodiac necklace everyday and it’s also engraved with New York coordinates in the back, which makes it more special. It is also made with solid 14K gold, which is obviously of high quality. I have been getting tons of compliments and Helen Ficalora has a wide range of designs so be sure to check them out if you are a jewelry lover!
