I feel like the color plum doesn’t get enough love. Maybe it’s because people are afraid to wear it or maybe it’s because not everybody can pull it off, but I decided to give this dress a chance. If I look in my closet today, I can say I only have about 2-3 purple/violet tops. I don’t think the color is ugly, but it’s definitely not my first go to when I am shopping. I bought this dress from Tobi and the material is amazing! It’s thick, great quality and has a zipper in the back. It fits well and it hugs my body in all the right places. The front also has a diagonal design to give it a little more edge. It’s also paired with black to make it stand out more and I am definitely loving the boldness of the overall look.
As usual, I put my hair in a bun because it gives me more height and makes me look more sophisticated. I could have opt to put my hair down, but I think it would have made me look just average. Sometimes I think women should stem away from the traditional hair down and go for an up-do instead. Since my hair is out of my face, I can focus more on my make up and can experiment with different lip and eyeshadow colors. I put on my black stilettos to complete this look and I would wear this for a weekend night out.
