I am all about trying new beauty products because I think it’s important to explore different brands until you find the right one that works for your skin. I haven’t been lucky enough to fall in love with a certain skincare product since my skin is very unpredictable. For background, I have combination skin, but it tends to be drier during the winter and oilier in the summer. I’m sure others can also relate to this as we all know that weather can affect the skin.
I recently discovered Meg21, which is a skincare line with products that are backed up with science. I was fascinated with their philosophy and revelation that sugar has an effect on the skin. All of their products contain their patented skin care ingredient Supplamine, which is “clinically proven, toxic sugar-blocking technology to reverse the appearance of aging skin within 14 days.” Now, I know some people might think this skincare line isn’t suitable for me since I am in my 20s and this line is targeted towards an older audience. However, I don’t see anything wrong with using anti-aging products because their products have benefits that overall improves the skin and makes it look younger and who doesn’t want that?
I was gifted the Anti-Oxidant boost, which protects the skin from harmful effects and reduces irritation and appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This should be used after toner, but before moisturizer. This of course contains supplamine, which reverse glycation, gooseberry extract, vitamin E, primrose oil, etc. You can get more information on this product here. I also received the Redness Relief, which is pretty self explanatory. The product contains natural soothing extracts of aloe, ginger, burdock root and Supplamine, which reduces redness and irritation, while promoting healing. I suffer from redness, especially during the winter and sometimes during the summer. If you are interested in this product, feel free to read all about their ingredients here.
Now off to the actual review. I want to start off with saying I absolutely loved the packaging. The colors are great and the packaging is simple, but also chic. I was surprised when I opened the bottle because there was a pump that came out, which was an added touch. The consistency of both products is clear and light and goes onto my skin smoothly. I will say the only thing that I noticed was the smell. It’s not an off putting smell by any means! However, it’s not heavily scented like perfume or spa like lotions. I feel like it does have a medicine smell to it, which was a bit odd, but it’s also very subtle. The smell reminds me of an actual skin care product recommended from dermatologists that actually has a purpose for your skin, rather than an ordinary moisturizer or serum. I have been using this product for one week and so far so good. I will continue to use it because I do see an improvement on my skin. I haven’t been using the redness relief as much, but I heard it was a good makeup primer, so I’ve added a little before I put on my makeup and do feel like it’s a great substitution.
I highly recommend this line for those who want products that actually has benefits for the skin. Meg21 is all about science and their products have been backed up with research. It’s a line that I think stands out from the rest of the other skincare products and I am excited to see how my skin feels and looks after I finish both products.

I should check this out since I'm the same combo skin type as you. Also, I think using anti-aging products when you're young is totally appropriate! That might just be the eastern european in me though. lol

Thanks for sharing your insights about this product. Like you, I prefer skin care brands that are not heavily scented but at the same time does not smell like a medicine. Can't wait to hear more about this! xx
