I usually don’t get too personal on my blog, but recently, I’ve decided to be a bit more transparent with you all on what I’ve been feeling. Growing up, I’ve experienced anxiety here and there and it started with feeling anxious when I would take exams or about to do a big presentation. Even though I’m a pretty outgoing individual and feel comfortable with those scenarios, I do still myself in my head sometimes and my anxiety actually takes over my body.
I explained a little bit on my Instagram, but I’ve recently been feeling unbalanced with my life and confused about my purpose and calling. I love what I do and I am so grateful to be able to express myself creatively in both my blog and other social platforms. However, I’ve been in a weird phase recently and feeling unclear about what I’m doing. I know that people say this is a normal thing to go through and it’s all part of this journey we call life, but my anxiety has reached its peak in the past few weeks.
I have also found myself feeling so overwhelmed that I have mini breakdowns here and there. After speaking with a few of my best friends, we all realize that it’s due to us growing older. Gone are the days where we are just going through life for the sole purpose of doing so. We are now more cautious of our actions and decisions and actually care about our goals and future. I think when it all comes down to it, I want to be able to have a legacy before I leave. I want to impact people and change lives and really want to do something meaningful. I know there’s no clear answer or solution to what I’m feeling and it’ll probably just take some time to get me out of this funk. It’s crazy to think that we have to know exactly what we want to do for the rest of our lives because if I’m going to be honest, I truly have no idea.
As a child, we are always asked “what do you want to be when you grow up?” and I remember my answers always varied. I wanted to be a lot of things and it was never crystal clear of which specific industry I wanted to pursue. All in all, I wanted to express that it’s okay to not know what you want to do or who you are because that’s one of the main purposes of life. It’s all about experimenting and figuring things out along the way. I am asking the universe to make my purpose more clear because as I’ve mentioned, it’s been a pretty rough mental battle and I am hoping to find some clarity soon. If you can relate at all, please advice you have to overcome this phase.

I’m sorry you are going through this. The only advice I have is to take it one day at a time and try not to get overwhelmed. Sometime breaking tasks down can be helpful.

I think a lot of people are feeling the same way as you, we’re constantly being surrounded with all kind influences both good and bad. The only thing that you can do is to take it slow and try to figure out what we really want in life and set goals to achieve it. You can’t help others until you’re happy with yourself and keep a positive mind because being anxious usually doesn’t fix the problem.

Anxiety is something that I deal with personally but you’re right, it doesn’t help to solve problems. I can only learn to deal with it in a way that it won’t hinder my work ethic and responsibilities.
I love bloggers sharing their personal side. And this one is pretty tough!
Love the outfit too

I think a lot of us experience anxiety in some way or the other but I think it’s important to talk about it so I decided to share it!
Oh wow I really liked the mood of this post and your attitude is so precious! So inspiring <3

I was trying to be transparent about how I have been feeling in the hopes that others can relate!

I’ve struggled with anxiety at different points in my life for different reasons. Being able to be open and talk about it with friends or finding a therapist can help. Taking a step back from social media has helped me at times as well. Life is a journey and I hope that you are able to find some peace.

Life is definitely a journey and I have been figuring that out now! It’s a learning process so I am trying to take it one day at a time.
Hey girl, just letting you know that you are not alone in this. The first step is acknowledging and accepting anxiety. Also, setting up an more attainable goals and schedule and making sure you dedicate time for you.

Thank you.
Love your outfit! I think it’s super cute and looks so pretty on you! Kisses <3
Thank you love!
First, that bag is so pretty! Secondly, I’m sorry to hear you aren’t feeling the best! I think it’s tricky to find a path for your life sometimes. Sometimes you just have to do what you have to to make it through the rough patch, and figure things out when you are in a better headspace. I volunteer too, that means even if I’m having a rough week and work isn’t going so well I’m seeing purpose and enjoyment from other things 🙂
Hope that you are having a lovely week with a nice weekend ahead of you 🙂

Thank you Kelsey!
I was going through this phase just recently too. I feel like this is something we all go through at some point in our lives and we need to learn how to overcome it in our own terms. I hope you’re feeling better right now and talking to your family and friends is definitely a good thing! Hang in there<3

Thank you Samantha! I definitely am feeling better 🙂
I think a lot of people don;t always know what they want to do and like you said – that’s ok. Often we stumble upon our path x

Since I’ve written that post, I have felt better so it’s definitely an up and down rollercoaster!
I can totally relate. It can be so hard seeing others have/know their purpose while you feel stuck and don’t know what to do about it. But everyone has their own road to take. You too have a purpose that will show up when least expected!

Thank you Radi for your feedback. I am going to be patient and wait for my calling!
Your feelings are so, SO normal. I am now 32 and STILL struggling with some of the same questions. We grow up assuming our paths will be clearly mapped out for us and, when they’re not, it’s easy to feel derailed and like something isn’t right. All I can suggest is that you keep asking yourself hard questions. Clarity DOES eventually come, usually when you least expect it.
Thank you soooo much for your feedback Kasie! I feel better knowing others can relate and I know I’m not the only one that is going through this phase but it’s great to write about it and hear from others as well 🙂
aw babe! i think we all go through this phase and i, myself have anxiety too, especially social anxiety lol. i think the truth is, life is always random so we just have to go with the flow and take it day by day. being too anxious over everything, I’ve learned, just takes up a lot of energy and stresses me out even more! To have a balanced life, I’ve been trying to read more and do things that relax me like laying out by the pool (the sun helps me!), take longer walks with the dogs, etc. i hope you will be able to find your clarity soon darling! but you aren’t alone <3 xx
Since writing this post, I have been at such a better headspace! So thank you for your kind words and support. I definitely think it’s natural to go through these phases and I’m looking forward to conquering this week 🙂
