SUMMER FRIDAYS JET LAG MASK REVIEW

I recently attended the launch of Summer Fridays, which is a mask created by Marianna Hewitt and Lauren Gore Ireland. It launched at Sephora last week and already has become a favorite of mine and let’s not forget it became a quick best seller item, which says a lot about the product! I want to firstly say I have been a fan of Marianna Hewitt for a while because her brand is extremely authentic and I love her natural aesthetic and all her beauty and lifestyle photos. It’s amazing how she worked her way up to where she is now and have created her own line. She is truly an inspiration and I have had the privilege to meet her twice and she’s as genuine as I’d imagined.  So I must admit I had pretty high expectations for this product, but I tried to go in with my review as unbiased as I can.

The Jet Lag mask comes in a squeezy like tube and the packaging has a very minimalistic style, which I am a huge fan of! The product inside the tube comes in a white cream that you apply in a thin layer all over the face and leave on for about 10 minutes. I was very satisfied with the consistency and texture because I don’t like masks that are too heavy or thick on my face. It’s a great product when you are on the plane because there is no need to rinse it off because all you need to do is lightly dab with a soft cloth and it absorbs straight into the skin, hence the name jet lag mask. Of course, you can also use this mask at home and incorporate it into your weekly routine like I have done.

After using it 2-3 times I have absolutely fallen in love the texture, smell, and how my skin feels after I’ve used it. It’s free from all harmful chemicals such as sulfates, parabens and phthalates and it’s vegan, which adds bonus points in my book! Because I do a lot of traveling, my skin suffers from dryness, excessive stress and lack of sleep, so finally there’s a product that I can count on to help solve that. It smells faintly of peppermint which is from the peppermint, corn mint and orange oils that are infused with the product, but I actually love the smell because it’s refreshing. The scent wakes my skin up and brings life back into my skin and this is a wonderful feeling especially if you’re on the plane. Masks with strong scents tend to be abrasive on my sensitive skin, but this product is incredibly soothing and relaxing, which is what I look for in masks.  As soon as I tried it, I knew this product would be my go-to in my travel bag to hydrate and cure my skin from dullness, so you all know that this is going with me on my trip to Hong Kong and Tokyo next week!

Typically, I use a clay mask 1-2 times a week and I’ve implemented the Jet Lag mask every other day, and my skin has never look so clear and refreshed. My skin is combination, although the description says that it is for all skin types, I would avoid the product if you have extremely oily skin as this product is targeted at dullness and dryness. Overall, the product is gorgeous and I would definitely recommend you try it out for yourself! If you have, please let me know what you think of it!
