I did a podcast interview with Sheena Yap at the beginning of summer and I am so excited to finally share it with you all since it went live a few weeks ago. Please go listen to it here because I am very passionate about the topic of self confidence. I have been obsessed with podcasts this year and it’s such a great way to open up your mind and learn about topics that help with self growth and improvement. I hadn’t heard of The Tao of Self Confidence’s podcast before but I am so glad Sheena approached me because I think what she’s doing is truly amazing and inspirational for women all over the world.

In the episode, I talk about what self confidence means to me and below is a quick summary of the other topics covered:

Definition of Self Confidence

Self confidence is being comfortable in your own skin, owning all your flaws and
imperfections.  It is also the way you carry yourself, the vibe you give, mindset and attitude.

Her Life Before the Discovery of Self Confidence

Mariann used to be obsessed with her physical appearance.  She would compare herself to others especially when she sees others on social media.

The “AHA” Moment

Mariann was reading a lot of books such as ‘You are a Badass’ and ‘The Book of Joy’ and she started to focus more on happiness since happiness and confidence are interrelated.  She started to work on being comfortable in her own skin because there are more benefits on taking pride in who you are than complaining or dwelling.

Her Life After the Discovery of Self Confidence

Mariann is still a work in progress but she is happier.  She finds life to be more fulfilled because of her confidence, she knows everything falls into place.

The One Self Confidence Tip For the Listener

Stay positive, be patient and trust in the process.  Self confidence is a journey, it’s not instant just like finding happiness and when you find yourself comparing yourself to others, remember that you own
something that they don’t and they have flaws too.

If you took your time to listen to the podcast, please comment on your thoughts as I’d love to get your feedback!
