For those of you who know me, know that I absolutely love to travel. I honestly visit travel websites more than I visit popular news sites because I am always on the quest on finding the best deals and planning my next vacation. I have a bucket list of places that I want to go to as I’m sure a lot of you do too. However, currently I am very open to any and all destinations because I know that I will learn and grow no matter where I’m at.
If you guys want to travel but have a strict budget, I’ve listed three places that are affordable to visit right now. Thailand and Greece are on my list as I have yet to visit, but I have been to Mexico and I think it’s a great way to get your foot in the traveling door especially if you are always stuck in your comfort zone.
- Thailand: Thailand has always been marketed as a cheap destination to travel. There are  a lot of activities that you can do in Thailand such as riding elephants, going to the spas, shopping at their markets, etc! I’ve always been fascinated with Thailand’s culture especially seeing it as a popular destination on the Bachelor. Many of my friends have also visited this country and have all agreed that it’s inexpensive to get around, which means you can experience a lot for a little. Thailand is also known as the Land of Smiles, so that guarantees you will have a  fun vacation. I have also heard that the Pad Thai in Thailand is very authentic and the local fruits are fresh and affordable, which is another reason why you guys should consider booking Thailand as your next travel destination!
- Greece:Â I never ever associated Greece as a destination that could be affordable, so I was shocked when I read recent articles talking about the price and cost of going there. I added Greece on my bucket list as one of the first places I’ve wanted to visit, but I always thought it was more of a honey moon, expensive vacation. Â But to my surprise, I found that Greece can be made into a affordable vacation destination. There are so many islands in Greece, so it might be difficult to narrow down to one island to visit, but there are ferries that you can take, which will make the vacation more affordable.
- Mexico: I think that every college student wants to travel to Mexico for their spring break simply because everything is inclusive at the resorts there and affordable. I went to Cancun two years ago and it was a relaxing and fun trip. Not only is it a great place to tan by the pool and beaches all day, but you can also do a lot of sightseeing and other activities. For example, I visited Chichen Itza when I was in Cancun and it was a great getaway from the beach scenery.  So if you are looking for a fun and laid back vacation, check out Mexico. It is also probably one of the safer bets out of the three if you are hesitant to travel since the flight is shorter and it’s less of a cultural shock.
I would love to hear if you’ve been to any of these three destinations. What is your favorite place to travel to and let me know if you have any trips lined up for the summer!

As of now, the only place I have on my list to visit is Miami in a couple of weeks. It’ll be my first time there and I’m sure, quite the experience! I haven’t planned any more trips yet, as I’m moving cross state and need to budget for that first!

Miami is a lot of fun! I am sure once you start to travel, you’ll want to do more!
I’ve heard a lot about Thailand and Greece, but they’re both on my list of things to do when I go on study abroad! I’ve been to Mexico and it’s a beautiful place, plus very affordable! I love Cancun especially!!

I went to Cancun last year so it was definitely a a fun and relaxing place to visit. I can’t wait to see where your next destination is.
Thank you for sharing. I have tried knocking countries off my bucket list. I was lucky enough to go to Bangkok, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, last summer. I just got back from Rome, Paris and London. My most favorite was of course Paris. Hope to go back and study a semester. Greece has always been on my bucket list and now Mexico. Great post. Love traveling!

Wow that’s amazing! I am so happy you’ve bene traveling 🙂 I think a lot of people don’t explore enough and I definitely want to visit Cambodia and Bangkok!
These are actually all places I really want to go, and Mexico is actually the easiest for me if I go back home (California) for a visit. Greece I need to go because I love the history there, and Thailand because of course, it’s Thailand 🙂 Glad they are so affordable!

So glad those are on your list as well! You travel a lot so I can’t wait to see where else you go.
Those three are definitely on my list! I would love to go to Tulum in Mexico, all of the cute little cities in Greece, and I would eat my way through Thailand. Portugal is also high on my list now.

Portugal is also on my list! I heard it’s beautiful and such a great location for photos!
I’ve never even been out of the US! Okay that’s sightly misleading – I saw Niagra Falls when I was a baby, and when I was 12 we had lunch right over the border in Mexico while visiting my grandma in NM. Buuuut I’ve never truly traveled anywhere away from the East Coast, so I hope I get to see some of these places someday!

Bali and Sydney are on my list as well!
As I’m sitting here and for real planning a vacation to sooth my nerves and body after the hectic fashion weeks for men in summer I really get inspired. Despite having been to lots of places in Greece before I’ve really fallen in love with the lovely islands of Santorini and Mykonos and I think it’s one of those that will be the destination of my choice when I go. 🙂

Embroidery is so in right now and I can’t get enough of it.
I’ve been dreaming of going to Greece! Mexico isn’t really somewhere many people I know in Australia go for holiday but it looks exciting in US films lol
