I have a weird outlook on turtlenecks. Sometimes, I think they can be very fashionable and comfy for the winter and other times, I think they’re suffocating and way too tight. I guess it just depends what’s your preference and style. I actually didn’t own any turtlenecks in my closet, but I decided to go out of my comfort zone this winter and get one. I knew I didn’t like form fitting turtlenecks because I just feel like I can’t breathe in them, so I sought out a loose chunky sweater style instead.
I love this top because the white creme color just has winter written all over it. It’s soft and warm, but not too heavy. It also has the right amount of looseness and length. I was planning to wear jeans for this outfit because that’s what I definitely would pair this top with. However, this was also the day that I took pictures from my last post about Beyond Trends, and when I put the sweater on, I actually liked the way it paired with this sweater.
For those who know me, will definitely have their eyebrows raised because I have never ever worn a long skirt and a turtle neck sweater before. I have made it a goal to explore different styles and this is one example of an accidental combination, but it worked out perfectly. This outfit gives me a carefree, comfortable and laid back look. I just love that feeling because a girl gets tired of always dressing up 24/7.
