I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. Upon opening the package, the first thing I noticed was the smell. It can be pretty strong for some people, but I actually loved it! I think it’s very difficult to describe scents, but to me it smelled like sweet sugar and flowers. I know that description may be a bit odd to understand, but I will say the aurora reminded me of a spa like environment if that helps. The pleasant smell made me look forward to trying the scrub because to be honest, if I didn’t like the smell, I’m not sure if I would’ve been thrilled to put it on my face.
This is an “eternal youth exfoliation scrub” that claims to brightens skin, improves skin tone, softens the skin and prevents breakouts. All of those features are what I normally look for in facial products. I wanted to try this for a few days before writing this review because I’m usually super hesitant to try new beauty products in fear that they would break me out or make my skin worse. All you have to do is take a small amount of the scrub and put it on your face in a circular motion. I prefer to use my fingertips rather than a cloth because I think it’s more gentle.
The texture was very soft and glided onto my skin smoothly. This product is made of three types of butter including olive butter, which nourishes, hydrates and smooths the skin, avocado butter, which contains high amounts of vitamin A, B1, B2, D and E and kukui butter, which has antioxidant products that protect the skin and combat pro aging free radicals.
I think often times, exfoliation scrubs can be harsh on the skin since there are usually beads. However, this exfoliation scrub is like no other! I am very happy to report that this hasn’t broken me out and has only left my skin feeling hydrated and smooth. I use this in the night about 2-3x a week and I definitely have seen an improvement on my skin’s texture. If you are interested in trying this product out, you can get it on amazon here (affiliate link) for only $25.
