Winter Vest

Hello 2016! What better way to bring in the new year than to have a bit of chilly weather? It definitely feels like the beginning of January since the temperatures have been around the 40s, which is definitely more normal than the 60s. I think the key to keeping warm is layering, which we probably all have been told by our parents. It’s amazing what a warm jacket, thermo or vest can do.

This Calvin Klein navy vest is one of my favorite pieces for the winter even though it makes me look like an eskimo. It keeps me warm and it allows me to wear a long sleeve shirt or sweater underneath for the indoors. Once I layer this look with a coat, I am instantly ready to conquer the cold weather. Now let’s all be honest, this isn’t a very fashionable look, but I think it’s important to buy warm pieces for the winter. I also like the contrast between the blue vest and the red top. I wanted to show that it’s okay to look like you’re dressed for the winter. It’s not always about looking stylish but you can still make a winter vest work and look cute in the cold.
